She and her husband have lived in Lakeland 45 years, having moved here so he could attend Florida Southern College. Two of their three children were born here, the oldest arriving with them at age 6 months.
Margaret has a BS degree from Stetson University, majoring in mathematics. She serves on several other boards: Downtown Lakeland Partnership Board, presently serving as Secretary; Spring Obsession, Inc. Garden Show committee serving as President, previously as Treasurer; and the Board of Craft Retailers and Artist for Tomorrow, a national organization of our industry, serving as Secretary.
Margaret says, “The downtown area has always been special to me and my family, having shopped at the stores and restaurants from the time we first moved to Lakeland. In fact when my family lived in Kissimmee in the 60’s, we would come often to Lakeland to shop.”
